Conlan's Baby Blog

Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog!

I created this to blog to share pictures and milestones with family and friends, as our little boy grows this year.

If you are not familiar with how blogs work, you can navigate through different pages by clicking on their titles at the right of the screen. For example: On the right of the screen under the Blog Archive, click on "Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog". If it isn't showing up, click on the month June and it should show up then. Under the Blog Archive list there are other titles you can click on, such as "Conlan's Birth Story". Each title will bring you to a different page that will include a brief summary of what has gone on and pictures.

Welcome to Baby Conlan's Blog!

Welcome to Baby Conlan's Blog!

This is a place where I can post pictures and video's to track our little man's progress and growth.
He is changing everyday and developing an adorable personality.  We are so blessed to have him!

My Pregnancy

Most women, I think would agree with the following statement.  Pregnancy is not fun!  It was awful and to be honest, I got off easy.  I had very little morning sickness, I didn’t get acne or hair in weird places, my feet did not swell and my mood swings were minimal (my husband agrees and not just to be nice).  Even though I gratefully escaped many annoyances of pregnancy, that does not mean I had fun.  I grew huge at an alarming rate, which made my feet and muscles throb with pain after the 6th month.  From the first trimester on, I battled extreme fatigue and went to bed most of the time at around 5:30, woke up to eat at 8pm and then went back to bed.  I suffered wicked insomnia from 1am on and had to go to the bathroom every 15 minutes.  It was terrible and I don’t understand why God does this to us!

I would try to remind myself how lucky I had it.  God bless the woman who has to deal with constant nausea, headaches and varicose veins!  I don’t know how they get through it with their sanity!

15 Weeks Pregnant

24 Weeks Pregnant

30 Weeks Pregnant

34 Weeks Pregnant

I stopped taking pictures after 34 weeks because it was just depressing!

I do want to make sure I show off the nursery.  I was nesting and needed the nursery to be done and perfect well before the baby was born.  Since I couldn't move around easily, Gavin took this monumental project on and designed a beautiful room.  He hung the wallpaper, painted, hung the pictures and put together all of the furniture (changing table and dresser not included in pic). We went with a monkey theme.

  1. The nursery is beautiful...A great place for Conlan to "monkey around!"
