Conlan's Baby Blog

Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog!

I created this to blog to share pictures and milestones with family and friends, as our little boy grows this year.

If you are not familiar with how blogs work, you can navigate through different pages by clicking on their titles at the right of the screen. For example: On the right of the screen under the Blog Archive, click on "Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog". If it isn't showing up, click on the month June and it should show up then. Under the Blog Archive list there are other titles you can click on, such as "Conlan's Birth Story". Each title will bring you to a different page that will include a brief summary of what has gone on and pictures.

Out With the Sickness & In With the Summer!

Hi Everyone!

We have been battling Walking Pneumonia here in SC, but we finally think we have a handle on it.  After a round of Amoxicillin, Master Conlan still had a blazing infection and his poor little body was ravaged by eczema because his immune system was getting pummeled.  After a very diluted bleach bath, stronger antibiotics & oral steroids he is so much better!

Here are a couple of photos to show you his poor eczema face that I had retouched in previously posted photos.  This was during the beginning stages, so it doesn't look that bad, but after a couple of days his poor eye-lids were swollen and his whole body was affected.  It was lasting for weeks and not getting better with our usual ointments, creams and prescriptions (he has prescription steroid cream that we would use in the past when his skin got really bad and that wouldn't work either).  We were at our wits end, because Conlan couldn't sleep and was scratching himself bloody.

Finally, our baby is feeling much better.

Now Feeling Better!
