Conlan's Baby Blog

Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog!

I created this to blog to share pictures and milestones with family and friends, as our little boy grows this year.

If you are not familiar with how blogs work, you can navigate through different pages by clicking on their titles at the right of the screen. For example: On the right of the screen under the Blog Archive, click on "Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog". If it isn't showing up, click on the month June and it should show up then. Under the Blog Archive list there are other titles you can click on, such as "Conlan's Birth Story". Each title will bring you to a different page that will include a brief summary of what has gone on and pictures.

Conlan's First Birthday - Video

Thank you everyone for your awesome gifts!  Conlan loves all of his new toys, stuffed animals, clothes, bibs and his monkey towel!  He will be sending all of you thank you cards as soon as he can be detached from his new toys.

Here is a quick video of his first cake tasting and him playing with a toy from mom and dad.

Quick back story about the toy from mom and dad....Mama Erin went to a fancy toy store on her way back from a work trip to Charlotte to look at little pianos.  These baby pianos can all be bought online for 1/2 the retail price at a fancy store, but I wanted to look at them up close to decide and then order one online.  There was a little Melissa & Doug piano on the top shelf that I wanted to look at and couldn't wait for the lady to get back with the ladder to get it down.  I didn't realize how heavy it was (it is a baby piano after all) and proceeded to get it down myself.  I reached, it fell (on my head) and broke into several pieces on the floor.  I was so embarrassed and bought the ridiculously priced piano, much to the store owners satisfaction.

Gavin and I ended up having to buy $200 worth of paint, sanding supplies, glue, etc... because we kept messing it up.  After 7 days and probably 60 hours of work, the restoration was complete.  Thank goodness he loves the thing, because it was an expensive "lesson learned" for mama!

More videos and pictures to come!
