Conlan's Baby Blog

Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog!

I created this to blog to share pictures and milestones with family and friends, as our little boy grows this year.

If you are not familiar with how blogs work, you can navigate through different pages by clicking on their titles at the right of the screen. For example: On the right of the screen under the Blog Archive, click on "Welcome to Conlan's Baby Blog". If it isn't showing up, click on the month June and it should show up then. Under the Blog Archive list there are other titles you can click on, such as "Conlan's Birth Story". Each title will bring you to a different page that will include a brief summary of what has gone on and pictures.

Baby Conlan- 15 Weeks Old

Hello Everyone!

This month has been full of firsts.  Gavin and I successfully negotiated my first long business trip and I am thrilled to report what a wonderful job Gavin did!  I came back to a happy, chubby baby and an exhausted hubby who kicked butt at work and juggling baby duties.  Go Gavin!!!

The other first....Conlan rolled from his back to his front tonight for the first time ever and I caught it on video!!!  Hooray!  We have been practicing his rolling from his front to his back to no avail.  As you know,  he did it once several weeks ago, but I didn't catch it on camera.  It must of been a fluke, because he hasn't done it since.  In our practice session tonight, we were practicing the manuver from front to back as usual and I had the camera rolling.  I helped him roll onto his back and then, out of the blue, he started trying to roll on his own from his back to his front.  For about 5 minutes I continued to video, but he just couldn't make it.  That is when I decided to take him off his play mat and put him on a burp cloth for extra grip.  I turned the camera back on and bam!  I am such a proud mama!

Below is the video of Conlan's big achievement.  This is the first time he has rolled on his own from back to front and the 2nd time ever that he has rolled on his own.

Thumbs up from Conlan.

Conlan going for a ride.

Sometimes I think he looks like a Kette and sometimes he looks like an O'Connell
Here I think he looks like me.

Here I think he looks like a combo.

Here he is all Kette
